The INVISIBLE MAN Trailer Just Crept Into The Room While You Weren’t Looking

Leigh Whannell's latest looks timely AND terrifying!

Leigh Whannell needs no introduction to the Birth.Movies.Death. readership. Y'all know Leigh! Co-creator of the Saw franchise! Co-creator of the Insidious franchise! Writer/director of last year's truly outstanding (and delightfully gnarly) Upgrade! You know, Leigh! Whannell! Australian guy, total mensch.

Anyway, Leigh Whannell knows his genre shit forwards and backwards, which is why we were so excited to learn he would next be tackling a new Invisible Man for Blumhouse and Universal Pictures. Whannell shot that film earlier this year in Australia, and today we're getting our first real look at the results.

Unsurprisingly, it looks like the dude's hit another homerun.

This looks great! Timely, terrifying, and assembled around what appears to be one helluva performance from Elisabeth Moss - we're all in on this one. This is a clever take on the Invisible Man property, and we are very excited to see Moss kick her invisible ex-fiancee's ass in the final reel (I mean, we're guessing that's where this is headed).

Here's an official synopsis, should you require one:

"Trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist, Cecilia Kass (Moss) escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer, NBC's The InBetween), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge, Straight Outta Compton) and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid, HBO's Euphoria).

But when Cecilia's abusive ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House) commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia's sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see."

Leigh Whannell's The Invisible Man hits theaters on February 28th. Y'all as excited as we are for this one? Sound off below!
