The First Full A QUIET PLACE PART II Trailer Has Arrived

New year, new threats.

Yesterday, while the rest of the world slept off a collective hangover and waved goodbye to 2019, the good folks at Paramount dropped the very first full-length trailer for John Krasinski's highly-anticipated A Quiet Place Part II. Now that we're all bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and (hopefully) ready to begin 2020 in earnest, let's take a look and see what we think...

Yeah, we're into this. It's evident that A Quiet Place Part II will be a somewhat different kind of movie than the 2018 original - the addition of other, potentially-dangerous human survivors lends the whole thing a bit of a Walking Dead vibe - but the monster action looks even better here than it did in the original (that shot of the creature's arm reaching through a shattered bus windshield? Good stuff), and lord knows we're curious to learn about this weird little world.

Here's an official plot synopsis, for anyone needing one:

"Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path."

John Krasinski is, for reasons obvious to A Quiet Place fans, not back for this sequel (we're guessing he's bound to pop up in a flashback or two, though), but he is back in the director's chair for this installment, and working from his own script. Will we get definitive answers as to where these noise-hating monsters came from? We're guessing so. Will those other survivors turn out to pose just as big a threat? Probably. Will Emily Blunt continue to look badass brandishing a shotgun? Oh, guaranteed.

A Quiet Place Part II hits theaters on March 20th. Stay tuned for further coverage as we draw ever close to that release date, and do his the comments below if you've got anything to add here.
