Joe Lynch Goes Action With EVERLY, Starring Kate Hudson

The director of the upcoming KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM gets into the assassination game.

Joe Lynch's first feature, Wrong Turn 2, is actually amazingly good. His second, Knights of Badassdom, isn't out yet, but the trailer really kicks ass. Joe moves slowly, with lots of years between projects, so I'm very excited that his next project is already announced and moving forward. And it looks like another change-up in tone and genre - this time he's making an action film.

Kate Hudson will star in Everly, a movie with a strong log-line: "a down-on-her-luck woman, stuck in her apartment, ... must fend off waves of assassins sent by her ex, a dangerous mob boss." So it's sort of a single-location Haywire? I'm on board.

The script is written by Yale Hannon, based on Lynch's pitch, and it was on the Black List at one point. The producers are taking the movie to the Berlin Film Market to search for financing; with Lynch on board and Hudson involved I imagine this project will be getting off the ground before the end of the year.
