See A Video From The CHILDRENS HOSPITAL Marathon, Listen To The Interview, Win A Signed Mondo Poster
In June, I attended the ATX TV Festival in Austin, the very coolest part of which was The Ultimate Childrens Hospital Marathon organized by the Alamo. Producers David Wain and Jonathan Stern and stars Rob Corddry, Ken Marino, Rob Huebel and Erinn Hayes attended, as did occasional guest star Paul Scheer, who showed a few episodes of his Adult Swim procedural drama send-up NTSF:SD:SUV.
Man alive, Childrens Hospital is funny, and watching all of the episodes in a row made it clear just how brilliant these guys really are. They're whip-quick in their Q&As, although host John Gross did a great job keeping up with them. Ken and David in particular have been to the Alamo several times, and we honestly love having them. I covered The Ultimate Party Down Marathon last June, and this was every bit as fun. So check out the recap video from the marathon.
Also, I got to sit down for an interview with all those folks listed above for a few minutes, and I'm attaching the audio below because transcribing this huge pile of overlapping hilarity would be a nightmare. I'm sorry that the most prominent sound in this clip is my goofy laugh - they're just awfully funny people. You can hear where they tell me that Madonna is going to be a guest star next season! I'm still pretty sure they were serious - they told some other outlets that day, as well. But I guess we won't actually know until we see her (or don't see her), because David Wain is one tricky dude.
