Possible JUSTICE LEAGUE Team Lineup #5

At least this one has simplicity on its side.

When El Mayimbe at Latino Review has a scoop, it usually turns out accurate, so this proposed Justice League team lineup has a little weight behind it. It also seems likely for its simplicity. The major problem with past lineups was size. This new one has only five members:

Superman

Batman

Wonder Woman

The Flash

Green Lantern

Plastic Man (all red props)

So by the time the film finally hits, we'll already be familiar with Superman, and (if they tease him at the end of Man of Steel) Batman. I'm still not sure if they've decided on the Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern or not. Unfamiliarity might be the preferred path in that case.

This means no Martian Manhunter and no Aquaman, but it also means a film with far more achievable quality. They can get fancy with later installments. If there are later installments. You never know. We might have a rapture between now and then.

What do you think? Does this look boring to you, or just right for a first film? It's going to take a lot of goodwill for this to feel like anything more than a Christian Rock version of The Avengers, but that doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to it all the same.
