SHAUN OF THE DEAD Started Shooting Ten Years Ago Today

Relive every day of the shoot at Edgar Wright's blog.

It was ten years ago today that Edgar Wright began shooting Shaun of the Dead, a movie that's taken on something of a seminal position in our geek culture. To celebrate this milestone, Edgar will be posting images from every day of shooting for the next few weeks, chronologically as it happened. He's doing that at his blog.

What makes day one so interesting is that they started with what might be the most ambitious shot in the film: the steadicam shot of Shaun heading to the corner store hungover, unaware of the zombie apocalypse playing out around him. They didn't ease their way into production but jumped in with both feet.
