RIDDICK Trailer: Hey, This Might Not Suck

You know what sucked? Chronicles of Riddick. Absolutely garbage. Which is too bad, because Pitch Black, the first Riddick movie, is absolutely awesome. I figured Riddick was finished after the awful Chronicles of Riddick, but Vin Diesel is a boy with a dream and a whole lot of motivation, and this fall we're getting Riddick, the third film in the Riddick saga. Riddick.

The first trailer for Riddick is here and - hey! - it looks pretty good. I mean that in a very specific 'This looks quite a bit like a CD-ROM game from the 90s and the CGI backgrounds are pretty obvious but it's their obviousness that makes them charming' kind of way. Also, it looks like a proper sequel to Pitch Black with more space badass versus monsters stuff and less space Conan versus the limits of my patience stuff.

What do you think? Do you sort of think Katee Sackhoff is better than a movie that had to shut production for a while because they couldn't pay for their studio space and got locked out? Is this exactly what Vin Diesel should be doing between Fast & Furious movies? Weigh in below.
