THE WORLD’S END Poster Is Rowdy

Check out the new one-sheet for the final film in Edgar Wright's Cornetto trilogy.

This new poster for Edgar Wright's The World's End - the third film in the thematic trilogy that includes Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz - is kind of raucous, isn't it? It has a very goofily exciting feel to it, all glowing eyed-armies and flames and charming melodrama. I like it. I, personally, cannot wait for Barmageddon.

When listing the huge films you're anticipating this summer, don't forget this little disaster flick that could. There's a really good chance it's going to be the best movie we see this season, and if it feels like we've been looking forward to it for years, well, that's because we have.

Read the summary below, and watch the trailer here

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.

The World's End hits theaters August 23. If we've waited this long, we can wait three more months, right? Right?
