Future Folk is a bluegrass band from another planet. A year ago they saved the world by not destroying the world with a flesh eating virus. As you can see in the video above, they are still waiting for a thank you parade. They also have weird pets back on their home planet. And they are good singers.
Their film, The History of Future Folk comes out on VOD June 4th. You can catch it theatrically starting this Friday if you live in New York and next Friday if you live in Los Angeles and the Friday after that if you live on planet Hondo. It won the coveted Fantastic Fest Jury Prize for Best Screenplay, so you can bet it's better written than Star Trek Into Darkness.
