IP Man meets the INK Man.
Wong Kar Wai's The Grandmaster opens August 30. As a fun primer for the film, VICE has put together a cool animated comic for your enjoyment. You can check it out HERE.
I've never seen an animated comic before. Each panel is like a mini-movie where instead of just reading text panels in front of an image, the image moves a little, and the text appears as you read. If there is a stationary human in the panel, they blink like an NES Capcom character.
The Grandmaster has earned a wide spectrum of responses from those lucky enough to have already seen it. Some really love the film while others find it beautiful but boring. We'll be able to see for ourselves when The Grandmaster comes out later this month.
