FANTASTIC FOUR Reboot Has Its Doctor Doom

And it ain't a Victoria.

There's been a lot of rumor and confusion surrounding the reboot of Fantastic Four - including claims that director Josh Trank was fired - and one of the biggest weird rumors has been that this version of Doctor Doom would be a woman. Victoria Von Doom! I was actually against this because I think it would add an unnecessary sexual tension to Doom's rivalry with Reed Richards.

Well, like most of the other rumors, that one turned out to be bullshit. Variety is reporting that Toby Kebbell is in talks to play Doctor Doom, making this another handsome version of the Latverian dictator beneath an iron mask. Kebbell has been in films like War Horse and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, but he's going to be getting a lot of play from geek sites in the coming months. He's starring in Warcraft, shooting now, and he's Koba in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Doom really marks his absolute ascendence to a spot of geek interest, though.

And that's the main cast: Miles Teller as Mister Fantastic, Kate Mara as The Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as The Human Torch and Jamie Bell as The Everlovin' Thing, with Kebbell as the baddie. Could there be other villains lurking in this picture? Possibly! With the movie shooting very soon we should know whether other casting gives away Mole Men or Galactii.
