See Jean-Claude Van Damme’s PREDATOR Creature In Action
He looks like a Sesame Street lobster.
We all know Jean-Claude Van Damme had an aborted stint as the monster in Predator, back when it was going to be a much more typical-looking alien monster thing. Upon seeing the original costume in action, however, Van Damme and the suit were fired in favor of the awesome Predator design we know today.
A show called The Monster Show (hosted by Stan Winston's son - that's his legal name) recently featured special effects guy Steve Johnson on its first episode, and with him came footage of Jean-Claude Van Damme's lobster alien in action. It is a sight to behold. I love Jean-Claude Van Damme, but we are so lucky they went in another direction.
