BATMAN VS SUPERMAN Gets An Official, Bad Title
Warner Bros has officially titled Zack Snyder's Man of Steel sequel... and the title sorta stinks!
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Oof. So Batman v Superman is totally fine. We've been calling it that for like eight months anyway. But Dawn of Justice? YUCK. Were they driving down Sunset and saw all the the billboards for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (where the Dawn works) and got it stuck in their heads?
I dislike the title on a lot of levels. Dawn of Justice marks this as a prequel to Justice League, which is irritating. Just make a movie. I always disliked the First Avenger subtitle they put on Captain America, for instance, but I also understood they were trying to sell an unknown quantity. But how is Batman vs Superman not enough on its own? Like that combo isn't going to sell tickets?
Also Dawn of Justice is just CLUNKY. It's meaningless. It's like a joke version of what a studio exec would name a movie. And why is the Vs becoming just V, like it's a fucking Supreme Court case?
We're all going to just call it Batman vs Superman and ignore the subtitle, right?
