Tim & Eric Join Forces With Dr. Steve Brule For North American Tour

Just a bunch of hunks.

Yesterday afternoon, Tim & Eric announced a new fall tour, with 28 shows across 26 North American cities (Atlanta and New York are getting the twofers). That's exciting in and of itself, but get this - the duo's latest tour is actually a double-bill, with Tim & Eric sharing the stage with John C. Reilly's Dr. Steve Brule. If you're wondering, the only acceptable response to this development is:  "Oh my fucking god."

According to Tim & Eric's website:

This power trio has put together a show of a lifetime for you and your pep-pep and they’re venturing to pretty much every major city in North America. No excuses this time, ya danguses! Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, July 18 at 10am local time.

Tickets are reasonably priced at ~$40, and will go on sale this Friday at 10am local time. As far as I can tell, all ticket sales are being handled directly by the theaters hosting the tour. My suggestion: seek out your local theater's homepage now, and be prepared to check out quickly come Friday morning. You don't want to have to buy wildly overpriced seats from one of those douchebag secondary-market retailers come Friday evening.

I've written here before about my love of the good doctor, and I couldn't be more thrilled to find out what Reilly plans to do with the character in a live setting. If it's anything like the last Tim & Eric tour I caught (2010's Chrimbus Spectacular), it'll offer the same nightmarish mix of sketches, songs and off-putting shenanigans that were a staple of Awesome Show, Great Job! and Check It Out!,plus a healthy dose of audience interaction (please, god, let Brule bring random audiences members onstage for impromptu interviews). Can't wait.
