The ANGRY BIRDS Movie Gets A Pretty Funny Voice Cast
We should probably have a dozen Angry Birds movies by now. Instead we only have one, and as of yesterday, it didn’t even have a voice cast yet. It’s like we’re talking about some indie kickstarter game or something.
But we’re not. This is Angry Birds, a game so popular that the voice cast was announced as a gift when some lucky player launched the game’s one billionth angry bird into a pile of pigs. One billionth! That’s insane.
So here it is. As far as regular angry birds go, they will be played by Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, and Danny McBride. The animated film will also feature voice work from Bill Hader as a pig, Maya Rudolph, and Peter Dinklage as that Mighty Eagle guy.
But that’s not all! We also get Keegan-Michael Key, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale, Hannibal Buress, and for some reason musician Romeo Santos and the band-ish thing called Smosh.
That is a shitload of voices, most of them pretty funny. So it stands to reason that the Angry Birds movie will be the most hilarious thing you’ve ever seen. The film is expected to come out July 1, 2016.
