Christian Bale To Play Yet Another Rich Asshole In Steve Jobs Movie

Christian Bale already showed us how good he is at playing a rich asshole in the Batman films, and now he'll be taking that expertise to Silicon Valley by playing Steve Jobs in the biopic written by Aaron Sorkin. 

Sorkin himself confirmed the casting, telling Bloomberg News 

“We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range, and that’s Chris Bale. He has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined.”

The film is structured not like a traditional biopic but in three segments, each detailin the lead-up to a different major Apple product launch. I'm assuming that the sequences will include Steve Jobs witheringly screaming at people, perhaps about being in his eyeline when they're trying to set up lights. After seeing Empire of the Sun did anybody imagine that Bale would become the poster boy for wretched American male privilege in the way he has (let's never forget American Psycho, a role that foreshadows both Batman and Jobs)?

David Fincher was in talks at one point, but now Sony has gone to Danny Boyle, whose elastic style could make him a very good fit for the job. I snark, but I'm very interested in seeing what this movie is going to be like - I quite like movies about assholes.
