Best Buds Tom Cruise And Doug Liman To Make Another Movie Together

Edge of Tomorrow/LiveDieRepeat/All You Need is Kill sadly did not set the world on fire financially, though many who saw it must have felt a least a little warm. Two of the warmest bodies the film produced appears to have belonged to Tom Cruise and director Doug Liman. They looked at their finished film and go so hot and bothered that another team-up became inevitable.

That team-up will be a drug thriller set in the 1980s called Mena, which I believe is Spanish for “More than one dude.” The film is about a guy named Barry Seal, a big drug smuggler for the Medellin Cartel who later became a rat for the DEA and CIA. So he’s a hero on both sides of the isle!

Ron Howard was once supposed to direct this movie. I’m not sure that really means anything regarding the script’s quality, but it might be the one bit of info that puts you over the line on trivia night in a couple of years.
