Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Wentworth Miller And Victor Garber In New DC Show
Whoa. So we've known for some time that an Arrow spinoff series might be in the works, featuring Brandon Routh's terrific portrayal of Ray Palmer/The Atom, but now we know that this show is going to be a pretty major - and sort of haphazard - superhero/villain team-up.
Arrow and/or The Flash creators and producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim are working on an untitled CW show featuring Routh, Victor Garber's Dr. Martin Stein/half of Firestorm, Wentworth Miller's Leonard Snart/Captain Cold and Caity Lotz, who may or may not be somehow reprising her role as a previously deceased Sara Lance/Black Canary. Please let Sara Lance come back. I love Sara Lance.
Either way, I am into this. It's such a random group of characters to join together, but the one thing all of these portrayals have in common is that they're awesome. Berlanti, Kreisberg and Guggenheim have created some seriously compelling superhero narratives for The CW, and I am fully on board with their expansion of this universe. Think of the crossover episodes!
Rumor is that this project is going straight to series, probably for mid-season next year. Another rumor:
Additionally, in a tidbit that should get fans fired up, I have learned the new project will include three major DC Comics characters who have never appeared in a TV series.
