Stanley Tucci And Ewan McGregor Join The BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Live-Action Film

Bittersweet and strange, finding you can change, learning you were wrong and actually this movie is going to be AWESOME.

The casting for Bill Condon's live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast is so, so good. First we hear that Emma Watson and Dan Stevens are playing Belle and The Beast - both ideal choices - and that Luke Evans is our Gaston (weird, but cool), Emma Thompson is Mrs. Potts (perfect), Ian McKellen is Cogsworth (AMAZING), Kevin Kline is Maurice (yes please), Gugu Mbatha-Raw is Plumette (definitely), Audra McDonald is Garderobe (for sure) and Josh Gad is Le Fou (obviously).

And then yesterday it was announced that Ewan McGregor would play Lumiere and today we learned that Stanley Tucci will play a new character: "Cadenza the grand piano...who is described as a neurotic maestro." What is this insane embarrassment of riches? I blush!

After the success of CinderellaBeauty and the Beast has felt like a more auspicious endeavor than it might have if Maleficent were the last live-action Disney film. But with this director, this cast and a screenplay by Stephen Chbosky, it's going to be really, really hard to make this movie anything less than magical.
