Tom Cruise And Doug Liman To Develop Sci-Fi Movie Called LUNA PARK
Tom Cruise tends to be pretty great onscreen, but there must be something genuinely likable about him offscreen as well since all these directors want to keep working with him. Doug Liman is one such director. He worked with Cruise on the great Edge of Tomorrow. The two then started working on the drug cartel movie, Mena. And now they’re at it again.
The film in question this time is a science fiction story called Luna Park, which focuses on a group of people who try to steal some important energy source on the moon. Luna Park has long been a passion project for Liman. At one point Chris Evans and Andrew Garfield were interested in starring. Paramount even greenlit it once but then said “Eff that!” when it started looking too expensive.
With Cruise onboard, it just might happen, however. Right now, Cruise is only helping develop the film, but it’s hard not to imagine him doing so with the expectation that he will also star in it when it gets fully cooked. I'm really hoping this ends up being a really cool heist movie, but we'll just have to wait and see.
