Olivia Cooke Likely To Be One READY PLAYER ONE Player

As we all know, Steven Spielberg is going to direct an adaptation of Ernie Cline’s nerd-bait novel, Ready Player One. But to do so, he needs actors. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he’s probably going to get one in the form of My, Name, Is, Earl, and the Dying Girl’s Olivia Cooke.

Cooke’s involvement isn’t quite a done deal yet as she still needs to hit the video store and see if this is a director in which she should put her faith. If she says yes, she will likely play Sam, aka Art3mis (the story involves a online game world run by Willie Wonka or something, so she has two names), the main character’s love interest.

Ready Player One started irritating me on page one, and I never made it to Sam’s introduction. So I have no idea how Cooke stacks up as a Sam. Maybe you guys can sort that out in the comments. I also know I’m being very cavalier with a novel a lot of you enjoy, so maybe you can sort that out too!
