Liam Neeson To Star In Perfectly-Named Action Comedy, REVENGER

It feels a bit like the Liam Neeson old man action train has slowed somewhat lately. I’m used to getting three or four of these movies a year. As far as 2015 goes, we’ve only had two (Taken 3 and Run All Night). I mean, c’mon.

But that doesn’t mean he’s all done. According to Deadline, Neeson will star in a new film called Revenger. How have we not had a million movies called Revenger already by this point? It’s a perfect title.

Revenger will not be a straight-up action film, however. Scripted by Night at the Museum’s Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, Revenger is described more as an action comedy. It will be directed by Zombieland’s Ruben Fleischer, so its action comedy bona fides should be strong.

Unfortunately, we don’t actually know what Revenger will be about yet. I assume Liam Neeson has to get some revenge at some point, though. I was taught to never assume, but I'm going for it this one time. I also sometimes drive without a seatbelt.
