Clips From SPECTRE With Love

A killer train fight, Q's lab and more.

Well, we're here. SPECTRE opens today in the UK, which gives Americans ten days to absolutely ruin the film for themselves. Case in point: all these clips from the film, supplied to Joblo.com. But why watch them? You made it this far; why have these little grace notes spoiled for you? I watched them because I've got a job to do. You watch them at your peril.

007 battling a henchman on a train. You call it a callback; I call it a damn fine tradition. If that snippet - brutal, nasty, no score - doesn't get you just a little excited for SPECTRE, we can't be friends any more.

The first proper "Q's Lab" scene since 2002! Why not.

Roger Moore tells a story about how he struggled with "the line" and how to make it his own. Has Daniel Craig managed it? I might be misremembering, but this feels like a different take than the one one used in the trailer, where it felt like 007 was repeating himself, a pissed-off "For the last damn time" kind of spin on the line.

The start of a car chase. Nothing majorly new here, though I like Mr. Hinx's pleased little smile. It's true that if you do what you love for a living, you'll never work a day in your life.

The other three clips follow, one featuring the most we've yet seen from Christoph Waltz in the film. What do you guys think? Are we starting to see too much? Not enough? A Bond actor's fourth turn carries a lot of baggage, and nearly none of it is good. Are you excited for Craig's Thunderball? His Moonraker? His Die Another Day?  Fingers crossed SPECTRE bucks the trend, and I'll see you on November 6th.
