Houston! This Saturday We’ve Got Karyn Kusama In Town For JENNIFER’S BODY And THE INVITATION!

This weekend Shudder's Sam Zimmerman and I are hosting the coolest Karyn Kusama double feature possible, showing her upcoming brilliant Drafthouse Films release The Invitation, followed by the criminally under-appreciated masterwork Jennifer's Body. And Kusama herself is going to be in attendance, giving a Q&A about both films and her fascinating career!

So please join us at Alamo Drafthouse Vintage Park, Saturday, April 2nd starting at 8:00 pm. This is a dream screening for me, and I hope you'll join us. I think Jennifer's Body is one of the great feminist horror texts of the past decade, and no 2016 film has shaken me or stayed with me like The Invitation. If you know nothing about either film, that's the perfect way to watch them! Or be like me and just feel blessed at the opportunity to see them on the big screen once more. And I can't think of a more fitting co-host than Sam Zimmerman, with whom my very first conversation was about Jennifer's Body.
