FARGO Season 3 To Have Twice As Much Ewan McGregor As Most Ewan McGregor Vehicles
Pray for my poor soul. I have only seen one episode of the Fargo TV show, which has become the number one show people give you shit for not watching. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I have no excuses to offer as I jump into the volcano, as is the custom of our people.
But the rest of you are in luck. According to Entertainment Weekly, Ewan McGregor has joined the cast of Fargo season three as not one but two characters, Emmit and Ray Stussy, brothers but not twins. Check it out:
Emmit Stussy is the Parking Lot King of Minnesota. A handsome, self-made, real estate mogul and family man, Emmit sees himself as an American success story. His slightly younger brother, Ray Stussy, on the other hand is more of a cautionary tale. Balding, pot-bellied, Ray is the kind of guy who peaked in high school. Now a parole officer, Ray has a huge chip on his shoulder about the hand he’s been dealt, and he blames his brother, Emmit, for his misfortunes.
It’s incredibly likely that we will see one Ewan McGregor murder another Ewan McGregor, which will lead to the undoing of the other Ewan McGregor. And then there will be no Ewan McGregors. The season is expected to take place around 2013 with at least one cast member from previous seasons returning.
This is a big get for Fargo, which doesn’t even really need one. Everyone loves that show anyway. But having two Ewans on TV every week is a big deal, particularly if they're speaking in cartoon accents. Fargo season three should hit FX sometime next year.
