It Happened: Helen Mirren To Appear In FAST 8

Helen Mirren has made it well known that she would love to join the Fast & Furious franchise. Vin Diesel even responded that he’d love that as well. People acted like the idea was hilariously far-fetched, as if Mirren didn’t already star in two Red films. The lady kicks ass in every conceivable way; people like that enjoy the Fast & Furious films. It's just a fact. (citation needed)

Today that dream has come true. Helen’s dream, Vin’s dream, our dream. In an interview with my favorite publication, Elle, Mirren has announced that she will appear in the upcoming Fast 8. Not only that, but if she has her druthers, she’ll appear in a fast car:

I've always rather loved driving. I said, 'I'll be in it, but only if I'm allowed to drive if I do drive in it.' But we'll see. We'll see how it transpires.

Will she be a hero or a villain? Who knows? I’m hoping for hero, however, so she can join the team for further adventures. The F&F family has gotten smaller in recent movies, and I love the idea that they’re rebuilding with older actors.

Either way, this is great news, and Fast 8 will be a great movie that will solve many of the world’s current problems by blowing up a shitload of cars.
