Michael Sheen Will Star In And Direct THE GREEN RIVER KILLER

Like Michael Sheen? Like weird serial killer stuff? Today's your lucky day.

According to a new report on Deadline, Michael Sheen has signed on to direct and star in The Green River Killer, based on his own screenplay. Please take a minute to absorb the fact that Michael Sheen, like so many of us, is apparently way into weirdo serial killer shit.

Moving on, Deadline says the following:

The film tells the story of police detective Tom Jensen, who spent 20 years looking for the notorious Green River Killer, and Ridgway, the man he eventually caught. Ridgway was arrested in 2001 thanks to DNA evidence and is serving life in prison with no chance of parole. Sheen’s script is based on Dark Horse Entertainment’s graphic novel Green River Killer: A True Detective Story by Jensen’s son Jeff Jensen and artist Jonathan Case.

It's worth noting that Sheen's script landed on the 2015 Black List. Hell, it's worth noting that Sheen adapted Jensen and Case's graphic novel to begin with. What a cool thing for this dude to be doing with his time!

There's no timeline on when The Green River Killer might go in front of cameras, but Deadline notes that the project already has financing through QC Entertainment. Here's hoping he pulls this thing off; I've been waiting for a great Green River Killer movie for years.

While we're waiting on future updates, please enjoy the following clip from Twilight: Breaking Dawn, embedded here at Devin's request.

You're welcome.
