Owen Wilson To Play Dad Of Kid Who Won’t Look Like Owen Wilson In WONDER

The YA adaptation gets a very handsome cast.

If your parents were Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson, it seems like the chances of you growing into a very handsome man or beautiful women would be quite secure. But that’s not how things go down in the upcoming film, Wonder, an adaptation of R.J. Palacio’s YA novel about a kid with a facial deformity (previous sentence merely a reflection of mainstream cultural standards regarding what makes someone attractive, none of which I invented or agree with; ask anyone - I find ugly people super hot).

According to Variety, Wilson will play that kid’s dad, while Roberts will play the kid’s mom. As for the kid himself, he will be played by everyone’s favorite cute little moppet, Room’s Jacob Tremblay. Except he probably won’t look as much like Jacob Tremblay.

The sure to be heartwarming story will be directed by Perks of Being a Wallflower’s Stephen Chbosky and will focus on this kid’s first foray into the harsh public school system. I wish him all the luck in the world. Also, I think this movie will make a billion dollars.
