The New HELL OR HIGH WATER Trailer Dares To Mess With Texas

To be fair, Texas kind of has it coming.

Much like Camelot, Texas is a silly place, one which films often treat with more reverence than it deserves (if you want a perfect encapsulation of the Lone Star State, I suggest watching the entire Alamo sequence from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure), so it's nice to see the new trailer for Hell Or High Water taking us down a peg, even if it's just a small one.

The film's latest trailer, much like its previous trailer, promises a southern-fried crime caper featuring some of our most beloved character actors, including Jeff Bridges, Ben Foster, and Chris Pine (if you're like, "Chris Pine is a beloved character actor?", you haven't seen Netflix's Wet Hot American Summer series, Smokin' Aces, or Stretch).

In addition to that awesome cast, Hell Or High Water was written by Sicario's Taylor Sheridan (INSTANT TICKET PURCHASE), directed by Starred Up's David Mackenzie, and looks like it's going to be a helluva lot of fun. Indeed, if Hell Or High Water turns out to be as good as these trailers, it could very well be the most entertaining Texas movie since Killer Joe.

I look forward to seeing this one when it opens on August 12th. How about you guys?
