Rumor: Max Landis Might Write The Live-Action POKEMON Movie
In less than a week, the world has been turned upside down by Pokemon Go.
People are inadvertently exercising. Buckingham Palace is under attack. And now, according to a new report over at HeyUGuys, Legendary Pictures is again threatening to make a live-action Pokemon movie.
The report doesn't mention a source for this particular rumor, but the logic stands: Pokemon Go is a no-shit worldwide phenomenon, and interest in the property is running at an all-time high. If you were a studio who ever had any interest in making a live-action Pokemon movie, now'd be the time to do it.
HeyUGuys further alleges that Max Landis (American Ultra) is being courted to write the screenplay for the film, but again: while there's no telling where that information came from, it certainly sounds about right, doesn't it?
Not much more to go on for the time being, but we'll keep you updated as developments occur. Personally, I'm a fan of the one that involved a teenager finding a dead body.
