Warren Beatty’s RULES DON’T APPLY Gets A Very Funny First Trailer

Here, at last, is the first trailer for Warren Beatty's Rules Don't Apply, a rom-com built around the late, great, lovable (and almost certainly insane) billionaire, Howard Hughes. You read that correctly.

Here, take a look.

A rom-com built around Howard Hughes is probably the least-likely logline I can imagine, but what's here looks great. Collins and Ehrenreich seem to have chemistry, Beatty seems to be energized in a way that we haven't seen in years, and the film itself looks gorgeously shot. 

And how about that cast? Warren Beatty (as Hughes), Alden Ehrenreich (your new Han Solo), Matthew Broderick, Annette Benning, Lily Collins, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin, Taissa Farmiga, Ed Harris, Candace Bergen, Steve Coogan, Oliver Platt (making this sort of a Bulworth reunion!), Haley Bennett, and Louise Linton. Jesus, this is the kind of sprawling, A-list cast that Altman used to put together. I'm impressed!

I'm also very excited to see a new Warren Beatty joint. Been far too long since this guy was making movies, and this one was apparently a passion project of his. I'm all in.

Rules Don't Apply arrives on November 11th. You gonna check it out or what?
