Listen To Werner Herzog Analyze The Video For Kanye West’s FAMOUS

Here, at last, is Werner Herzog's audio commentary/analysis of Kanye West's infamous "Famous" video. 

You're probably wondering what the hell is going on here. Fair enough. What you're looking at is Kanye West's "Famous" video, with audio commentary by Werner Herzog, as recorded by The Daily Beast reporter (and karaoke superstar) Jen Yamato. It is chockablock with great Werner Herzog quotes, including - as inspired by the video - much talk about doppelgängers. Such as:

"That's an interesting thing that the internet can create: doppelgängers."

"You keep thinking, 'Are these people for real? Are they doppelgängers? What are they doing? How have they partied? What brought them together?"

"I see it in my personal contact with internet, that there are a lot of doppelgängers pretending to be me, trying to speak in my accent, my voice. Answering things on Facebook or Twitter. It's all imposters. Our understanding of self has deeply and radically changed."

This is all on-brand, standard-issue Werner Herzog weirdness, to be sure, but make no mistake: Herzog's presenting a totally viable (and, for me, totally fascinating) take on "Famous". And he's clearly a fan! The countdown to Werner Herzog directing a Kanye West video begins now.
