Seth Rogen And Evan Goldberg To Produce FX’s SINGULARITY

It's about a future overrun by artificial intelligence.

Hey, kids, do you enjoy the comedy efforts of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg? Did you like This Is The End, Sausage Party and/or Superbad? How about AMC's Preacher - have you been digging that? Do you enjoy HBO's Silicon Valley

If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, well, have I got good news for you: Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have just signed on to produce FX's new comedy series, Singularity, created by Silicon Valley writer Sonny Lee.

Here's how they're describing the deal over at the Hollywood Reporter:

Based on an idea by Lee, (Singularity) is set in a future when artificial intelligence greatly surpasses human intelligence and resulting in profound changes to society. Because of its similar tone to Rogen and Goldberg's feature This Is The End, Lee reached out to the duo to come on board to produce via their Point Grey banner.

A real good way to get me to pay attention to something is to compare it to This Is The End, a film I have now seen more times than I can count. To be honest, I'd probably be into this even without the comparison (I believe there's comedy gold in them thar hills), but the involvement of Rogen and Goldberg is certainly a plus.

No word on a timeline here, but FX has ordered a pilot. We'll keep you updated as developments occur.
