This week The Blair Witch, sequel to The Blair Witch Project (no, Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 doesn't actually count), opens in theaters. We figured this was a good opportunity to revisit The Blair Witch Project for The Canon, and who better to discuss the movie than the dude who wrote the new one, Simon Barrett. Simon came by the studio to discuss how the original film was incredibly unique, to look at its marketing campaign and to talk about the way the first film was actually an experimental movie that escaped into the multiplexes.
