Here’s The Sinister First Trailer For HBO’s THE YOUNG POPE

If you caught HBO's Westworld premiere last night, then you probably caught the first trailer for The Young Pope, the heavily-hyped Paolo Sorrentino series hitting the network early next year. 

For those of you who didn't catch the trailer, here's another look:

So that looks interesting! Jude Law seems flat-out sinister as the titular young Pope ("young" relative to other Popes, obviously), Diane Keaton shows up as a nun (always a bonus), Sorrentino's imagery looks intriguingly weird and stylized, and I'm very much onboard the idea of a drama series built around a Pope gone rogue (or worse, a Pope who might even be evil). Bring that shit on.

The Young Pope makes its debut this month in Italy, Germany, and the UK, and will apparently premiere on HBO next February. This is one we'll be keeping an eye on.
