THE RAID’s Gareth Evans Will Be Back With THE APOSTLE
It’s been far too long since Gareth Evans blew us away with The Raid 2, especially with no real, solid word on when we’d next see something from the action maestro.
At least that part of the wait is now over. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Evans will return with a film called Apostle. This will be a period piece about a guy visiting a weird island in the middle of nowhere, looking for his missing sister who was kidnapped by a cult. I think it’s safe to say he fucks them up.
We already knew Evans was working on this script thanks to a photo he posted to Instagram:
But now it’s official. XYZ has the foreign sales rights and the American rights will probably get taken care of soon. Now he just has to go make the darn thing. Hopefully it doesn’t take another two years.
