Butters Releases His Minions In A New Trailer For SOUTH PARK: THE FRACTURED BUT WHOLE

The sequel to THE STICK OF TRUTH is almost here.

Ubisoft's South Park: The Stick Of Truth was hands-down one of the best games released in 2014, so the surprise announcement of South Park: The Fractured But Whole earlier this year was something worth celebrating. And now we're just a few months away from its release!

Here, check out the new trailer. It's pretty great.

So, obviously, whereas The Stick Of Truth delivered an RPG experience wrapped around the tropes of the fantasy genre (along with some late-game sci-fi monkey business), The Fractured But Whole will take the piss out of the superhero genre, a genre - if I may be so bold - that has certainly earned no small amount of piss-taking.

Here's the official synopsis, in case you haven't been following this one:

Evil stirs in the town of South Park and The Coon has sworn to clean up the trash can of society. When the Coon and Friends investigate the disappearance of a local cat, they discover the threat is far greater than any of them realized. Allied with the mysterious New Kid and his magical butthole, will the intrepid group of Super Heroes be able to harness their amazing powers and save the town?

I've not been watching South Park this season, as I was immediately left with a bad taste in my mouth when Parker and Stone opted to leave Trump out of the season's festivities (while including Hillary Clinton). They had their reasons, I understand, but it just didn't sit right with me, and - as a result - I have no idea what's been going on this season. You guys kept up? Excited about the game? Got any fond Stick Of Truth memories you'd like to share? Prattle on to your heart's content in the space provided below.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole arrives on March 31st, 2017.
