Lakeshore Loves Vinyl 2016 End Of Year Special

Tony Giles recaps the resurgence of vinyl and 2016 and highlights some pretty incredible scores.

For the past half-year, Lakeshore Records has been supplying us with fantastic behind-the-scenes podcasts featuring interviews with many different composers talking about their latest work. Hosted by Tony Giles, these podcasts have been a real addition to the web site offering unique perspectives that aren’t often translated through the written word.

This week, we’ve got a special addition to the podcast where Tony takes a look back on the vinyl resurgence of 2016. For the past several years, vinyl has beed rapidly making a comeback and in some areas have surpassed CDs as the physical medium of choice. It’s been a wonderful revolution as many scores which have not ever received a release, are finding their way onto vinyl. Any way we can get new and old scores released to the world, I’m all in favor.
