For the past half-year, Lakeshore Records has been supplying us with fantastic behind-the-scenes podcasts featuring interviews with many different composers talking about their latest work. Hosted by Tony Giles, these podcasts have been a real addition to the web site offering unique perspectives that aren’t often translated through the written word.
This week, we’ve got a special addition to the podcast where Tony takes a look back on the vinyl resurgence of 2016. For the past several years, vinyl has beed rapidly making a comeback and in some areas have surpassed CDs as the physical medium of choice. It’s been a wonderful revolution as many scores which have not ever received a release, are finding their way onto vinyl. Any way we can get new and old scores released to the world, I’m all in favor.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy Tony’s “Lakeshore Loves Vinyl 2016 End of the Year Special” podcast. All of the music heard on the program is taken directly from their vinyl sources.
And don’t forget to check out Lakeshore Records’ vinyl store for all the latest releases.
