We Regret To Inform You That Cliff Martinez Is No Longer Scoring LOGAN

This is kind of a bummer!

For some time now, everyone's understanding has been that Cliff Martinez (last seen melting eardrums everywhere with his all-timer score for The Neon Demon) would be scoring James Mangold's Logan.

It appears that is no longer the case.

That's director James Mangold telling an exceptionally passionate Marco Beltrami fan that Beltrami, not Martinez, will be scoring Logan. Further inquiries as to what happened to Martinez' involvement in the film have, thus far, gone unanswered.

Marco Beltrami's a composer whose work you may remember from The Woman In Black, the Scream franchise, and previous Mangold efforts The Wolverine and 3:10 To Yuma. He's a solid composer and will likely turn in something memorable for Logan, but it's hard not to be bummed about Martinez leaving the project. One wonders if we'll ever hear any of the music Martinez composed for the film ... or if that's gonna remain locked in a vault forever.

Anyway, Logan arrives on March 3rd, 2017, and all signs point to it being exceptionally kick-ass. Stay tuned for more updates as they roll in.
