We Finally Have A Trailer For THE BLACKCOAT’S DAUGHTER
A full eighteen months after most of the Birth.Movies.Death. crew saw Osgood Perkins' The Blackcoat's Daughter at Fantastic Fest, we finally have a trailer to share with you, our unreasonably patient readership. Bonus: it's a great trailer.
Check it out:
Reactions from the BMD crew ran the gamut on The Blackcoat's Daughter, but overall I think it's fair to say we're leaning positive on this one, and think that many of you will get a kick out of it when it arrives. This a deliberately-paced, slow-burning, Satanic Panic horror film, and all that that implies. If that's generally your thing, you'll probably find something to like here. We're excited to get another look at it ourselves.
Here's the official plot synopsis:
An unidentified young woman makes a pilgrimage to the site of a demonic possession at an all-girls boarding school in the dead of winter.
Yeah, that's accurate. It's also playing its cards close to the vest. You'll see.
Stay tuned for more on The Blackcoat's Daughter as we close in on the film's February 16th arrival on DirecTV (if you don't have DirecTV, be aware that Perkins' film will hit select theaters on March 31st, 2017).
