Is There Hope To Be Found In This PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 5 Super Bowl Spot?

Well, I don’t know how many of you are still potential Pirate of the Caribbean fans. The series started strong and then just drove itself as hard into the dirt as it could. Can it come back from that?

I honestly doubt it, but there are some likable elements to this Super Bowl spot for the film, which finally lets everyone get their first new look at everyone’s favorite wine enthusiast, Johnny Depp:

I mean, you go to the movies hoping to see something good. For that alone, I wouldn’t mind for this to be another cool, grimy pirate adventure. It certainly looks like it’s going to be as nasty as the Verbinski movies. We only see Depp, for instance, covered in shit here. It could be mud, but let’s call it shit.

But history is against this. I'll just have to find out when it comes out and people other than me see it.
