The YOUNG HAN SOLO Movie Will Explain Where Han Got That Kick-Ass Name
According to the Wall Street Journal's Ben Fritz, Disney CEO Bob Iger was interviewed at a USC business/tech event today, and over the course of that interview Iger revealed a few new plot details regarding Phil Lord and Chris Miller's upcoming Han Solo movie.
Namely...
Han Solo movie will follow him from age 18 through 24 and show him finding the Falcon, meeting Chewbacca, and getting his name, Iger says

So, an origin story, basically.
On the one hand, I imagine some people will be displeased with this news ("Another origin story? Really?"). On the other hand, this strikes me as a bare bones description of the Young Han Solo movie's plot. On the other hand - and I feel like we're going to be saying this a lot over the next year and a half - this is a Phil Lord and Chris Miller joint. If you told me the Young Han Solo movie was about Han painting his living room and having a quiet evening in, I'd still be onboard for it, because those two have more than earned my confidence over the past few years. I say we stay the hell outta their way and give 'em the benefit of the doubt.
But that's just me. How do you guys feel about this development? Sound off in the comments below.
