Gareth Evans’ APOSTLE Gets Stirring First Image
Things are scary at Scary Church.
One of the films I’m most looking forward to in the future is Apostle, Gareth Evans’ first new movie since kicking our asses with The Raid 2 in 2014. My excitement is strong enough that I’m not above sharing the first image from the film, even if it doesn’t tell us a whole lot:
The film is a period piece set in 1905 and follows a badass whose sister has been kidnapped by a cult. I may be wrong, but it looks like this might be a gathering of that very cult. On the other hand, it could just be a regular old church service. Potato, potahto.
It’s not a lot to go on, but I’ll take whatever I can get with this one. Apostle stars Dan Stevens and Michael Sheen and will be put out by XYZ Films. And also it can totally get it.
