Christina Hendricks, Who Deserves Better, Will Headline THE STRANGERS 2

In other news, they're making a sequel to THE STRANGERS.

If we were to tell you that someone's gearing up to make a sequel to 2008's The Strangers, how interested would you be, on a scale of 1-10? A five, maybe? A four?

Okay, well, now let's say we told you that someone's making a sequel to 2008's The Strangers, but that it will be headlined by Christina Hendricks. Kinda changes things, doesn't it?

According to Deadline:

"Emmy nominated Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Bailee Madison (Once Upon a Time) and Lewis Pullman (Aftermath) have joined the cast of The Strangers 2 with Johannes Roberts (The Other Side of the Door) directing from a script by Bryan Bertino (The Strangers) and Ben Ketai."

Look, folks. Christina Hendricks - who tends to be the MVP in just about everything she appears in - deserves better than a sequel to The Strangers. That's just a fact. So, if she's going to star in this thing, it is our obligation to give it a whirl whenever it arrives.

What's it about? I'm glad you asked:

"The Strangers 2 follows a family whose road trip takes a turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park and after the power goes out they decide to hunker down for the night in a borrowed trailer. Under the cover of darkness three familiar masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test their every limit."

Alright, so it's like a trailer park spin on the formula established in The Strangers? That doesn't exactly set our world aflame, but again: Hendricks.

No word on when The Strangers 2 Starring Christina Hendricks (as it will henceforth be known around these parts) begins shooting, much less when it might arrive, but we'll keep our ear to the ground for updates and let you know when something interesting happens.
