Damon Lindelof In Talks To Try WATCHMEN Out Again For HBO

When it rains, it pours.

You don’t normally expect crazy shit to rain upon you on a Tuesday evening, but here we are.

We just learned that Lord and Miller have suddenly departed the Han Solo prequel movie. But why go half-crazy when you can go all the way? Tonight also brings news that Damon Lindelof, the Lost and Leftovers guy, is in talks to get an HBO adaptation of Watchmen underway.

Well, that’s an unexpected turn of events. HBO thought about doing a Watchmen thing a few years ago and then let it go. Now that Lindelof has had some time away from The Leftovers, presumably enough to make his own Requiem for a Tuesday, he’s ready to jump back into the shit.

And boy, there’s no bigger splash than another attempt to adapt Watchmen. I wish him the best of luck. In a normal world, Zack Snyder’s version (which I genuinely enjoyed) would have closed the door on such shenanigans. Lucky for us, we do not live in such a place! All bets are off!

Seriously, if this has to happen, I sincerely hope it is awesome. HBO has to look at losing Game of Thrones in the future, and this could easily be another great water cooler show for them. And you know we won't have to worry about missing out on Doctor Manhatten’s dong, not that that was a problem in the Snyderverse.
