Talk During THE BIG SICK And Kumail Nanjiani Will Shssh The Hell Out Of You
By now, you're well-acquainted with the Alamo Drafthouse's strict "No Talking, No Texting" policy, but let's say you're the kind of bro who wants to test the limits of that policy. Let's say you're interested in seeing The Big Sick when it opens later this month, and you'd maybe like to test drive your newly-restored sense of belligerence during a screening of that critically-beloved movie.
Go ahead. Try it. But be forewarned: you will be shsshed by Kumail Nanjiani.
Do you really want to bring that kind of heat down on yourself? Are you prepared to be shsshed, in a very public manner, by one of the stars of HBO's Silicon Valley? By a man, who - according to his own stand-up material - has traumatic memories centered around Snow's "Informer"? That's not a man with whom to fuck.
Anyhoo, The Big Sick hits theaters on June 23rd. It's apparently one of the year's best comedies (read Meredith's review out of SXSW here) and we strongly suggest that all of you make time for it. Just do it in silence, or face Kumail's wrath.
