Here’s Our First Look At Peter Dinklage In MY DINNER WITH HERVE

The first photo from Sacha Gervasi's My Dinner With Hervé (about - you guessed it - former Fantasy Island star Hervé Villechaize) just landed. It's...taking us a moment to wrap our heads around, if we're being honest. 

On the one hand, star Peter Dinklage (playing Villechaize) is dressed exactly as we'd expect Hervé Villechaize to be dressed, right down to the floral-print shirt. They've even approximated Villechaize's signature haircut. On the other hand, there's no getting around the fact that Dinklage looks nothing like Hervé Villechaize, so...you win some, you lose some. And to be fair, we're guessing the disparity won't even matter once the film's unspooling in front of us. That's just how good Dinklage is.

Anyway, here's a plot description via Deadline:

"Written by Gervasi based on a story by him and Sean Macaulay and directed by Gervasi, My Dinner With Hervé centers on an unlikely friendship that evolves over one wild night in LA between a struggling journalist and actor Hervé Villechaize, the world’s most famous gun-toting dwarf, resulting in life-changing consequences for both."

HBO has yet to set an arrival date for this one, but you can rest assured we'll be keeping an eye on it. Stay tuned for updates as they roll in.
