Ray Romano Joins Scorsese’s THE IRISHMAN

Yesterday brought us good tidings in the form of Joe Pesci finally signing on to The Irishman, a Martin Scorsese dream project starring legends Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro. With the Netflix picture set to start filming next month, and the likes of Harvey Keitel and Bobby Cannavale in talks to join, new tidbits about this crazy cast are coming in bit-by-bit, the latest of which will surely please fans of Everybody Loves Raymond, that show in which everybody loves some guy named Raymond even though he sucks and keeps burning the turkey.

It’s not too much of a stretch considering he worked on the Scorsese-produced Vinyl in 2016, and between this and all the award buzz around culture-clash rom com The Big Sick, Romano is having a pretty stellar year. THR reports he’s playing Bill Bufalino, lawyer to both Pacino’s Jimmy Hoffa as well as the Teamster’s Union, and nothing more sinister than that according to ol’ Bill. If you recall, Pesci plays crime boss Russell Bufalino, though the two have no relation according to Mafia Wiki, a real website.

The Irishman doesn’t have a release date yet, but you can expect a whole lot of excitement on this site as soon as it does.
