See HOT FUZZ At The Alamo Drafthouse In August, Score An Awesome Shirt

The Drafthouse's Maverick Cinema Series kicks off with a very special screening of Edgar Wright's HOT FUZZ.

This August, the Alamo Drafthouse is kicking off the Maverick Cinema Series, a sprawling round of programming meant to celebrate 15 years' worth of kick-ass titles from the folks at Focus Features. There's all manner of cool screenings and goodies in store, and today we're revealing the first of the bunch: a special one-night-only screening of Edgar Wright's Hot Fuzz, accompanied by an awesome new Mondo shirt designed by Jock!

Take a look:

Here's some verbiage directly from the Drafthouse:

"By the power of Greyskull, join us to celebrate director Edgar Wright’s balls-to-the-wall supercop comedy masterpiece, HOT FUZZ! And to celebrate the tenth anniversary of our favorite British Bad Boys, each ticket includes a limited edition HOT FUZZ t-shirt from MONDO featuring artwork by Jock.

In HOT FUZZ, Edgar Wright and his collaborators Simon Pegg and Nick Frost do to action cinema what they did to horror in SHAUN OF THE DEAD: They walk the cleverest of lines between homage, parody, and downright badass awesome. And when you model yourself after movies like POINT BREAK and BAD BOYS II, how could the results be anything but spectacular?"

Tickets for this screening are on sale as we speak, so head on over there post-haste if you're interested in attending and snagging one of these kick-ass shirts! And, of course, stay tuned for more on the Drafthouse's Maverick Cinema Series as we work our way further into August.

Who are we gonna see there? Sound off below!
