SDCC 2017: BLACK LIGHTNING Gets A Creative New Trailer
Along with the rest of his CW pals!
Black Lightning looks like a totally separate thing from the rest of the DC shows – probably because it is, at least for the time being. That won’t stop the folks at The CW from getting creative though:
Yeah, that’s as good as this sort of marketing gets.
These shows falter a lot (except for this past season of Legends of Tomorrow, shockingly), but at their best, they’re a perfect combination of fun and inspirational. Black Lightning looks like it could be that, but grounded in a more specific social context, and regardless of where it fits in terms of crossovers or continuity, the folks at DC want Jefferson Pierce to be part of the family.
The series premieres early next year. Stay tuned for more.
